A wonderful 'open hearted' experience of Mountain Climbing-
Sifu Joan with Maria and Dominic- Shaolin Wahnam students.

The twin peaks of 'The Paps Mountain'- sifu Joan and Maria half way up and the Heart shaped lake on the way down.
The Paps Mountain (694m) in Shrone Co Kerry- A little piece of Heaven!
It was a wonderful experience, especially for Sifu Joan and Maria who are new to mountain climbing.
'Sitting at the top of the first peak, having tea and sandwiches felt literally like we were in Heaven looking down on the world, although the world below us also looked very heavenly with lakes, valleys, sunshine, green fields and more mountains in the distance' says Sifu Joan. 'Most of Munster can be seen on a clear day and ,of course, we had that, we don't do Chi Kung for nothing!!'
At the top of the mountain are cairns- buriel grounds which are believed to be there since Neolithic times. The mountain is dedicated to Anu, believed to be Mother of the Tuatha De Danann and Goddess of Fertility of the Munster region.
The heartshaped lake on the way down was a very special surprise and had us all Smiling from the Heart! Thank you Mossie for taking the photos and taking such good care of us!
For anybody interested in such open hearted experiences of seeing more of our beautiiful country by foot- either hill/mountain or flat walks, I would highly recommend this club. For more information see their website
